We are not meeting this week, as the assignment (click on the icon at the end of this blog to download the notes sheet--it will have links for places to visit--it is a word document.)requires you to use the internet, read and begin to develop a deeper understanding of standards (National and State), ethics and copyright . You will take notes as you view several website. I want you to have an understanding of the topics--not memorize all details. Your Notes will then be used to complete your blog. For each topic, boxes are provided for you to take notes. After you have finished the viewing of the sites (DELICIOUS or Diigo THEM) complete a blog on what you have learned about the technology standards, ethics and copyright law--SEE THE RUBRIC TO THE RIGHT FOR THIS ONE. . Email with questions. AS MENTIONED IN CLASS: you might want to work with your blog buddy on this. You can upload the assignment to google docs and share and then take notes together. Todays Class is on google documents and how to use them with students, coworkers, and for personal use. USE YOUR PERSONAL GMAIL ACCOUNT. 1. Spend a few minutes on this site: http://www.google.com/educators/p_docs.html 2. Preview of google docs: Word docs, Powerpoints, excel, forms, and drawing tools. 3. Build two google docs of your own: Think of a topic you might teach and build away. You two different styles (ie. word and form or pp and excel) 4. MAKE SURE YOU ALLOW OTHERS TO EDIT AND USE THE LINK: embed in your blog. 5. When you are finished: use twitter and tweet links to your google docs, be sure to add #uaedtech Go to at least two twitter links and complete the google doc they created. 6. Have a blog post on "google docs" done by next week 7. Screen Capturing: Screencast-o-matic Build a very short tutorial to post to your blog. Examples of topic will be addressed. 7.
